The Veterinary Assistant School was started after years of listening to sincere animal lovers say “I have always wanted to work with animals”. Having a deep understanding of the needs of a Veterinary Hospital and other animal care facilities, it appeared there were not many Veterinary Assistant programs with hands-on training and education. Most programs were online certificates with a few days of hands-on experience at the end of the program. Understanding how to handle a lively puppy or a very ill pet takes practice and side-by-side mentoring from a knowledgeable instructor.
Therefore we started The Veterinary Assistant School. After almost two years of writing the curriculum, we began taking our first students in 2010. We look forward to advancing the care of animals through helping students realize their dream of working with animals and helping Veterinarians and other animal center facilities in finding qualified, experienced people for their operations.
